Michel Potvin was born and raised in Wendover. He attended the National Law Program at the University of Ottawa where he graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and a Bachelor of Civil Law (LL.L). He previously obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Laurentian University, as well as a Certificat d’Études Politiques (CEP) from the Université de Lyon. He was called to the Bar in 2001.
Michel’s practice focusses primarily on real estate law, business law, and wills and estates. Bilingual, he will be able to provide you with sound advice in either official language and take the time to answer your questions, whether it is for the purchase of your first home, the sale of a business or in planning your estate.
Michel strongly believes in giving back to his community. He has volunteered in the past as Chair and Treasurer of the Wendover Optimist Club, is the founding president of a food cooperative, was elected a school board trustee and school board chair, and has served on numerous boards locally and nationally.
In his spare time, Michel enjoys cooking, fishing, golf and- sometimes regretfully- cheering on unfailingly the Montreal Canadiens.
Michel and his wife Sharon and their son live in Wendover.
